A hungry day.
Do you ever have these??
ha, i do.
and it doesn’t bother me one bit.
We’re going to talk about my recent hungry day….
I woke up un-hungry. I knew that this was not the norm for me. I was really appalled at what the heck was going on with this. So I woke up, sipped some coffee, and finally decided on the lovely Michelle breakfast. (i always think of her when i have it.
)
A green tea frap + two pieces of toast smothered in almond butter and honey. sounds innocent enough, right??? oh my, it was delish…and some days..it does me good..but it didn’t that day.
15 minutes later….”FEED ME. NOW”
{cream top yogurt + honey + 1 gala apple } ahhh. yum.
30 minutes later…”seriously, feed me. NOW.”
{a homemade biscuit with a nice thick, real slice of ham}
satisfied. for some reason..if i don’t eat meat or AT LEAST an egg, i’m ruined with hunger for the day. it’s crazy. It’s like my body just needs it. I’m part cave man.
I managed to make it till lunch:
A killer salad. and it killed the hunger, so we thought.
- greens from our garden
- carrots, radishes, ONIONS!!
- 1 boiled egg
- bout 4 heaps of hummus
- lots of black pepper
- some balsamic dressing (home-made
)
It was good,..paired with some crackers…..followed it with a kiwi and a few dark chocolate squares. i was good to go. And that is quite a small lunch for me..but i guess the mornings shananigins of eating was still with me.
and then. hunger struck…yet again. haha
well..least it was 3 o’clock. i managed to finish off my hummus, i had just made it that morning too. with a few hundred crackers…some veggies…and a nice big plate of…





oh my goodness, I definitely get those hungry days! Sometimes I love them but sometimes they’re a little annoying, like why can’t i just get full!? But I just roll with it!
and I think i’m part cave man too, I HAVE to have massive amounts of protein (eggs, and greek yogurt!) in the morning or I’ll be crazy all day! haha and I totally just had my bedtime snack of puffed kamut (i’m guessing it’s like amaranth!?) blueberries, coconut banana SUNFLOWER seed butta (mmm!) and drowned in 2% cows, with a drizzle of honey too, so good!

i’m sure it’s partly like amaranth..never had the kamut..i’m going to talk about popping it soon.
Lately I’ve been eating dinner and then my stomach hates me all night long and I’m not able to eat my usual pre-bed meal, so I’m not really sure what’s going on right now. However, I do get those days where nothing will satisfy my hunger and I never seem to stop eating!
I also think watermelon is… not-so-tasty, to put it nicely, haha. I guess the flavor isn’t too bad, but I can’t stand the texture at all, it kind of makes me gag.
I have days like this! Im just ravenous all day!

I wrote something similar to this couple of days ago, too. I was kind of scared though; I even thought of possibility of worms in my stomach. I was also afraid I was going to waste all the goodies I spent lots of $$$ for in one night!
Must be better than commercial cereals though.
Anyways, I want to hear about what you think of puffed grains – I used to enjoy it too, but I noticed it doesn’t do much good for my blood sugar. Apparently popping also greatly reduces the amounts of nutrients in the grain
yes you are right..according to a book i have …..they don’t have as much nutrition/hard to digest and stuff.
however, you’re also right with the fact that packaged cereals don’t either..those are definatly not good. but…even if this is so..i still eat it my own popped cereal..i normally do oatmeal at night..but during the summer that gets kinda old…and i like it..so i know that eating some popped cereal is better than eating a candy bar..or some cocoa puffs or something! haha. which is why i don’t eat cereal, that i don’t make..at least when i pop it…it’s fresh grain.
it also seems to fill me up well.
I definitely have days like this! I actually kind of love them because I get to eat more delicious food

It almost gets annoying! I just want to tell my stomach to shut up, but it doesn’t listen so I go get more peanut butter
I think that most of my days are “hungry days”
I always wake up being extremely hungry and my first steps always take me to the kitchen. But today I woke up with absolutely zero appetite and it is so strange!

I’ve definitely had those raging hunger days! I like them, but I also hate them. I feel like a garbage disposal.
The food looks super awesome though. Popped amaranth is so good!
